Putting all the pieces together to successfully transfer to your top choice university can be stressful and overwhelming. While sometimes just getting a counseling appointment can be difficult, many times students have to see different counselors and often frustratingly get different answers to the same questions. Even if you are able to meet with the same counselor, with such big caseloads, the counselor often doesn't even remember your name let alone anything about you.
For 20+ years I have provided the highest level of individualized college counseling to students in Ventura, Santa Barbara, Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Calabasas, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, throughout the United States and worldwide helping them get admitted to their top choice transfer universities. While it is very exciting to help students get admitted to their dream schools, what is equally thrilling is that along the way, students develop the motivation, confidence and life management skills essential not just for college success, but life success.

- Evaluate academic interests, skills, aptitudes, values and strengths and connect these to an academic major and potential career fields.
College Research and Selection
- Gain a strategic understanding of the college admissions process as a transfer and how to increase your chances of being admitted.
- Develop a well-researched, balanced list of “best-fit” colleges that fit your learning style, academic profile, preferences, career aspirations and finances. This list will include top-tier, powerful second choices and back-up options.
- Assistance with decision making.
Complete Essay Development and Editing
- Individualized mind-map session to identify who you are, your values and beliefs, and where you’ve come from, including important life experiences as well as challenges and how you responded to them.
- Strategy, editing and guidance on all essays to help you convey your unique perspective, sense of self and personal voice.
Problem Solving & Overcoming Obstacles - Life Management Skills
- Everyone has obstacles that they must overcome to achieve their goals. I help students assess their obstacles, develop problem solving skills, and work with them to tackle their obstacles. In a supportive yet challenging way, I help students remove barriers to their success and achieve their fullest potential.

I am available for face-to-face college admissions consultant meetings if you live in Santa Barbara, Ventura, Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Calabasas or any of the surrounding areas. I also regularly conduct meetings via Zoom or Facetime if more convenient. For out of area students meetings are done via Zoom or Facetime.
